Google, Please Index XSiteProDesigns.com!
Aug 27th, 2007 by Andrea
Although Google bots visit my site every day, Google has yet to index my site since I challenged myself to get to the number one position. I changed my page title and description, but the old one is still showing on Google, so I know I haven’t been indexed yet.
Meanwhile I’ve been busy with clients, the Thirty Day Challenge, buying a new car (whee!), family dynamics (aren’t they fun!) and putting up a couple of new Squidoo lenses in niches outside my normal Web-design-related markets.
I’ve found a lot of new resources through Twitter, Facebook, StumbleUpon and other social bookmarking sites. I could spend my whole day researching online, but sometimes the rubber has to meet the road… meaning I actually have to write content and build blogs in order to accomplish my goal.
If you’re wondering why I’m not satisfied with the number three position in Google, it’s because the number one position gets the lion’s share of the traffic and traffic sharply drops off after that. More traffic means more clients.
Clients are my life’s blood… and I love ‘em! They make my life interesting and fulfilled. I thoroughly enjoy talking to them and helping them. Besides, if I didn’t have clients to talk to, I’d be talking to the cats even more than I already do… and I don’t want to turn into the crazy cat lady!
